Looking back...

A lot has happened during the past few weeks. Here are some of the highlights:

- Middle of December we went to Bangkok (Thailand) for Cecile’s second ultrasound and some blood work. Mom and baby are doing fine and Jean will have little sister towards the end of April! Keeping her name a secret will be a bit of a challenge as Jean already tells it loud and clear to anybody who asks!

- Despite our limited command of the Lao language we were able to share with Goung why we celebrate Christmas. It was an emotional moment for all of us! Thanks for keeping her in your prayers.

- News from the project is a “mixed bag”. At some point we were scrambling to find an aircraft to start flying in January, but a few weeks later we were told that it won’t be necessary anymore. At this point we are following some other leads and are also focusing more on the training aspect of the project.

- Last but not least, we found another house and will be moving in a few days. Cecile is looking forward to a kitchen that isn’t a sanctuary for all kinds of insects and the traditional Lao style of the house (on stilts) will provide Jean – and later his sister - with a big shady play area.

Thanks again for your prayers, your support and for staying in touch. We wish you all a blessed new Year. May you spend it Under His Wing.

Sam, Cecile, Jean & ....
