Ceremony
After having been postponed one last time from the 8th to the 9th of September the signing ceremony of our Flight Training Project was held today at the Civil Aviation Training Center 4 years and 2 days after we first set foot in SE Asia!
The Vice President of our organization flew in from Switzerland and my former Regional Director joined us from Thailand. Representatives from the government and from the airlines were also in attendance. It was very formal with the most important people being addressed as “Your Excellency”! Yours truly was “merely” introduced as “Captain Sam”. :-)
This being said, it was very encouraging to hear how much they appreciate the work we have done and the opportunity our flight training project represents for the aviation community and the country.
The reception that followed was much less formal and gave us a chance to get to know some of the people an answer some of their questions.
I wish you could all have been here with us today to rejoice and celebrate with us.
In 1 Sam 30:24 we read: “The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.”
You are the ones who “stayed with the supplies” and your part in today’s “victory” is as important as ours.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being on our team, for “staying with the supplies”. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Sam and Cecile, I'm so proud of you both, for your faithful perseverance! May God continue to bring great blessing to you and your family and this project! We recently moved and someone reminded me that breaking ground for a garden is hard work but then it brings fruit...you have been working to prepare the ground. May you have a bountiful harvest as you continue to move forward. We miss you.
